Your privacy matters to us

PepIQ lets users take or upload selfies (and optional physique photos) for AI analysis. Here is exactly how that data is handled:

• What we collect: A photo you choose to capture or upload from your library.

• What we send: That photo is transmitted in real-time to Google Gemini (via our Cloudflare Workers backend) for analysis.

• What we store on our servers: Nothing. Photos are never persisted to our database or any third-party storage. They exist only in memory during the brief moment the AI analyses them, then are discarded.

• What Google stores: Per Google's API terms for paid Gemini usage, submitted images are not used for model training or retained beyond the time required to return a response. See Google's data policy at https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms.

• What stays on your device: The resulting score and peptide recommendations are saved locally on your iPhone only. They are never uploaded to our servers.

• Deletion: Tap Account → Delete account in the app to permanently remove all server-side records (community posts, comments, likes, identity) and local data. Photos cannot be in the deletion scope because we never had them.

When you use PepIQ, we may collect the following types of information:

• Account information: name, email address, and profile data you provide during registration.

• Usage data: how you interact with the app, features you use, and session duration.

• Device information: device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.

• Analysis inputs: any data you voluntarily submit for AI analysis within the app.

We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve our services.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the PepIQ app and its features.

• Personalise your experience and deliver tailored improvement plans.

• Analyse app usage patterns to improve performance and add new features.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

• All data is transmitted using SSL/TLS encryption.

• We store data on secure servers with restricted access.

• Regular security audits are performed to identify and address vulnerabilities.

• Access to personal data is limited to authorised personnel who need it to provide our services.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
